The 2 Dates

So yesterday I decided it was time for me to go on a date, seeing I haven't been on one in a while so I went on two. On the same day.
First date. I went with this kid named Jeremy, oh whom I work with at Lee's. He got one of his friends to go but his friend's girlfriend ended up not being able to go so it was Jeremy, his friend, and me all on a date. It was kind of weird. We went and saw Madagascar at the Junction. It is a funny movie but I still like the first one better. Then he took me home because he had to go to work. haha. So that is my first date.
The second date I went on was Morp. I went with a kid named Tory of which I worked up with at Aspen Ridge. So I picked him up, met at this chick’s house and got the other two couples, then headed to go eat at Maple Garden. It was super, super good. :) Then we all headed to the dance which was at my school in the gym. That was super fun too. They picked a cool theme for the dance, it was Wild, Wild West. Tory and I were wearing Wrangler shirts, belt buckles, boots, and even chaps. It was awesome. We were the only ones at the dance wearing chaps. He even went far enough out and wore Wrangler jeans. I post pictures later but right now I don't have them on this computer.
Both the dates were a lot of fun though.
Love you all,
-Aimee

The Past Forever and Ever

Not much has gone on since I last wrote.
I got a job at Lee's for those of you who didn't know. And for those who thought I was going to go to homecoming I'm not. The kid that asked me texted me to ask me then he backed out, then he gave me roses and asked then he backed out again. My dad asked if I wanted him killed slowly or quickly. Lol, he is a funny man.
The other day I figured out that indeed my hair is curly. It kind of makes me happy.
Well that is about all.
Have a great week!

And Now That I'm Back, Did You All Miss Me

Yes, I am back from Aspen Ridge for good until next year. In case none of you know at camp I would: teach the first aid merit badge, helped with the C.O.P.E. course, helped in the Trading Post, and I helped lifeguard at Waterfront at least twice a week. It was loads of fun!
I was always busy up there and I never really had any free time, but that was ok. I met a lot of people, so now I have all over Idaho and Utah and I miss almost every one of them!
Well, that is pretty much it.
I love you all!
Love,
Aimee

You are Belle!

Intelligent and kind. Your beauty goes much further than your apperance. Also, you make judgements of people based on their personality and not their looks. Attaining all the knowledge that you can is one of your major goals in life, but you are also a person who can make things happen.

I saw this on Emily's blog and decided this would be a fun test to take.

Aspen Ridge

It has been so much fun to work up at Aspen Ridge. I end up going to bed at about 10:30 to 11:00 at night and waking up at 6:00 in the morning. I have actually gotten a pretty good tan from helping down at waterfront during free time but to all the guys that work on waterfront I'm still pretty white.
This week was Girl's Week up at Aspen Ridge and I was helping at C.O.P.E. course on Wednesday, and that’s just some games the troops play by themselves to help them work together, when I was leading a girl's group through it we were at a game where there is a huge pole and the girls had to put a tire on it. Three of the girls decided to lift this other girl up to see if she could put the tire on. Well, when they had lifted her up she started laughing so hard that she peed her pants on the other three girls. It was so funny. I tried so hard not to laugh and I am happy to say that I succeeded in not laughing.
I also decided that I hate girl's weeks. They are all so annoying and the comments they leave on the evaluating papers are so frustrating. They complained about the mosquitoes, how there was no cell phone service, how when they went to ride the horses the wranglers (people in charge of the horses) didn’t explain how to ride the horses very good but I know for sure they did because I’ve heard how they explained it and I think it was just the girls not listening, and they wanted us to knock everything down, flatten it because its pretty much all a hill, and build everything closer together. I think that if they didn’t have anything good to complain about they made up something. But besides that it was all extremely fun.
We were all bored last Saturday night so we got some hair dye and dyed my hair and a couple other kids' hair lighter and colored my bangs pink with marker. When my dad saw the pink he threatened to shave it off if it didn't come out soon.
Well that's about all.
I hope you all have a great 4th of July.
Love ya,
-Aimee

The Past Forever

As most of you all know it was my Dad's birthday last Friday and seeing I was at efy (Especially for Youth) all last week (which was loads of fun I might add and there was a really cute guy in my group) I couldn't make him a cake. So last night, I finally made him a cake. As a side note, my mother had nothing to do with this cake, she didn't even know what I was doing until I was finished, which might surprise some people. But anyways, I had to get really creative and use an Indiana Jones Lego as my dad. So here are some pictures of what the cake looked like.

Efy was amazing! It was so much fun mostly because I was away from my family most of the week! Just kidding! It was from Monday to Friday from 9 in the morning to 9 at night at the Weber State Institute. It was funny because I had wanted to dance with the cute guy in my group since the dance on Tuesday but I was too chicken to ask him so finally on the second and last dance on Friday I asked him and he said yes! His name is Tom and it turns out he's 18, just barely graduated high school, and in the army. He had signed up at the end of his junior year and went to Boot Camp that summer. He is definitely crazy. But anyway, efy was so cool. The spirit was so strong the entire time. There were 70 people in my group and at the testimony meeting there wasn't a pause between testimonies. It was like a race to get to the podium. It was an hour long and not everyone that wanted to had time to bear their testimony. I was so awesome!!

Well that pretty much sums it up except for I leave for Aspen Ridge Sunday on Father's Day and I come back August 15. My dad agrees with me that it is a good Father's Day present for him. Here is the address for it if any of you want to write me while I’m up there.

Scout-a-Rama

Yesterday on Saturday, I went to my first scout-a-rama. I was hoping there would be a lot of people off of staff for Aspen Ridge to come and help with games. It turns out though the only people that showed up was me and the nature director, Erica. We didn't know what to do so we ran around for over an hour and a half singing/screaming songs to scouts to try and entertain them. It sucked. They were all so unenthusiastic about it all. It took them a while for even one or two of them to start singing or doing the actions. It was pretty sad. It was a lot of fun though.
That’s about all that happened this week. On Tuesday, I have a band concert at 7. It's our movie themed concert so we are playing songs from movies. It should be a lot of fun if you want to come. It's at Ben Lomond.
Have a great week.

Aimee

A Meeting and a Joke

On Saturday, I went up to Aspen Ridge for the last and final meeting before I go up there to work. It was a long hard day. We clean out the lodge and cleared some of the trails. Someone had actually broken in and kicked down a door so a raccoon had came in, gotten in some of the food, and pooped EVERYWHERE! It was really gross.
Brittney said I had to post this joke. There is a bit of a story to it before I tell you though. On tour we had dinner on a cruise ship and the people working there were handing out drinks without alcohol to the students. My band teacher, Mr. Jensen, got one and it was clear so he thought it was water so he had a drink. He then found out that it was champagne. He was tipsy all that night and the next day and even had a hangover. It was so funny. Well the next morning when we were waiting for everyone to get on the bus so we could go, Mr. Jensen told us a joke. It when something along the lines of this,
Why did the monkey fall out of the tree? Because it was dead.
Why did the second monkey fall out of the tree? Because it was stapled to the first monkey. Hahahaha…
Well I hope you all liked the joke.
Have a great week!

The Past Forever

Not too much has gone on since I last posted.
Prom was a lot of fun. We went to Ruby River for dinner. We couldn't find the other guy in my car's date's house. We thought she lived in North Ogden but she actually lived in Pleasant View. We were about an hour late for dinner and we didn't get to the dance until an hour after it had started. It was so much fun though.
That next week I went up to California for a Jazz Band competition. We didn't do too badly but we had played all those songs better. That happens every time we do a competition. It is a lot easier to play our instruments in California so the trumpets kept overshooting the notes on Sesame Street and playing them too high. That song sounded absolutely horrible. I was surprised we got the score we did and it wasn't lower.
Then on Thursday I went up to Woodbadge for the first time. It was a lot of fun teaching adults but it was also very, very cold. I figured out you don't get much sleep up there. We ended up going to bed at midnight and waking up at 5:45 the next morning. I felt really bad because I kept almost falling asleep during the lectures type things we had. But it was loads of fun.
Track season is now over for me. Region is this Wednesday and Thursday but I'm not going. I still have the tendonitis in my ankle though.
That is about all that went on for the past few weeks.
Love ya,
-Aimee

Finally

Here are my prom pictures. Sorry they are up so late. Between my dad stealing the monitor for Woodbadge and me getting grounded for sluffing an assembly I've been pretty busy. :)

Prom..... again

For all of you who are freaking out that I am going to prom, I'm posting a picture of the kid that is taking me.

His name is Hyrum Mack, or as my dad likes to call him, "Low Whiskey." His hair is a little longer now then when the picture was taken. I hope you all don’t think you are too old now that I’m going to prom. :)
Love you all,
-Aimee

Prom

Grandma was pretty T.O.ed when she found out I was asked to Prom but I didn't post anything about it. So I am now posting about it so she doesn't lost her top. A kid named Hyrum Mack asked me. He just emailed me and asked if I wanted to go with him and I said yes. I am wearing Emily's light pink dress, but for all of you who have forgotten what it looks like I will bring it up to Grandma's Sunday and try it on for all those who want to see it. (That is if Emily lets me bring it up.) Prom is April 12th, but I can't do a day activity because I have a Boy Scout Meeting for Aspen Ridge. I will post pictures for you all after the dance. :)
Love you all,
-Aimee

This Week

Nothing really has been going on.
My first track meet was on Wednesday. I didn't do too well. I ran the 400 and came in last of three other girls. It was freezing and my muscles were really cramped up and I had never trained for that event, so it really sucked. Right after I ran though my whole body felt numb. I couldn't even tell it was cold, so my coach made me put on my jacket. It was a lot of fun, even though I missed running the 800. They never announced it!
I can't really tell if my tendonitis is getting better since my trainer (Jeff) has been gone all week. So I will figure out Monday how my ankles are doing.
Last night was the Young Women Broadcast, which was amazing, I might add. Then I went to the 930pm showing of 10,000 BC. It was an ok show, but it was really weird. It scared Emily a lot. I had to put my arm around her she was so scared, and I think she still wet her pants. It was funny she was so scared!
Well, that's about it!
Love you all tons,
-Aimee

AAAAAAWWWWWW!!!!!!

My ankle had been hurting a little bit when I would run before Spring Break so I thought I had just sprained it. Oh no, of course not! It was hurting more today when I was running so I went to Jeff (our trainer) and asked him if he could see anything that was wrong. Big surprise there was something wrong, I think not! It turns out I have tendonitis!!! I was so mad when I figured that out! Really the only thing I really can do is get new shoes so I did. I really do hope they work because the first track meet is on Wednesday, and I'm running 2 events (the 400 and 800).

This Past Week

This week nothing really has gone on. I had no school all week because of spring break.
I got a hair straightener for my birthday and my mom persuaded me to do this weird flipy-out thing with my hair. It looks pretty spastic when I do it.
I ended up helping Grandma clean her house on Monday for some money for Jazz Band Tour. That thing is making me mad; it feels like I'm begging for money. It's pathetic. I am really excited for it though; it's down in San Diego, California!!
On Thursday, I decided to go shopping with some of the craziest people I know. Michelle and Grandma (*gasp*). It was pretty crazy. We then went and had lunch dropped off Grandma, picked up a few stragglers, and headed to Smith and Edward's. We spent 2 hours there where I got the coolest belt buckle ever! Then we headed over to Cal Ranch and spent another hour there. I've got to tell you though it was loads of fun!!
I have found out though my parents don't love me. They got all of us kids chocolate Easter Bunnies and mine, of course, was bad. It was milk chocolate, but it was tan. It was pretty gross.
Well, I hope you all had a great Easter!
Love ya,
-Aimee

This Week

This week nothing exciting happened. All my Jazz Band stuff is over until my spring concert and Tour in San Diego, next month.
We have our first Track meet next Wednesday. I’m excited for it even though I'm positive I won't do very well.
The best thing of all is that I am 16!!! I woke up this morning at 7:10 to my brothers singing Happy Birthday to me! It was pretty funny!
Well, that's about it, hope you all have an amazing week!!
Love you all!

This Past.... While

Sorry I haven't posted for a while, I've been busy. Let's see...
On February 20th to the 22nd I had my school musical. I swear it was the dumbest thing ever; it was called the "Nifty Fifties." No one really knew their lines, so I was glad I was just playing the music with the Jazz Band. On one of the days though, the main guy had his phone go off while he was on stage. It was pretty funny.
Then on March 1st I had another festival, but this time it was at Weber State. We did pretty good again there too.
I also had a Band Concert on the 4th, which we did okay at. We did better at it then at Exhibition Night. Exhibition Night was on the 26th of February. I don't think... no I know that we haven't played that bad in front of a group. It was horrible. No one really felt it, so we sounded bad.
On that Wednesday, we had Jazz Band region up in Logan. We sucked!! We had played those songs better before and the last song sounded horrible! We were all off and we weren't together. The scoring goes as, 1 the highest and 5 at absolutely horrible. We got a 2 and 2-. You needed at least a 1 and 1- to make it to state, so we obviously didn't make it to state.
For Jazz Band, we had another thing to play at on Saturday, March 8. It was the Bonnie Lassie Review. We sounded bad at that too. I swear we can't sound good except for in our classroom.
That's all for Jazz Band. I did end up joining track and am planning on running the 800 (for those of you that don't know, its twice around the track).
With all that going on, I happened to receive a letter from Aspen Ridge. I have to go in for an interview on Saturday, 10 minutes before the first meeting. There were actual dates for interviews but they were they worst 2 days in my schedule, so I ended up calling and seeing if I could go another day. I sure do hope I get in though.
Well, that about sums up my last couple weeks.
Hope you all have fun!

BYU Jazz Festival

I had a BYU Jazz Festival yesterday (Saturday), so the Jazz Band played at it.
I'm pretty sure we did pretty good, because the judge didn't have much to say. It was a lot of fun. It was from noon to 11:00. It was funny though when I went to dinner the guitarist (James) came up to me and started complaining to me that he couldn't find a real Coke. And how he went up to one of the places at the food court type thingy and asked why they didn't sell anything with caffeine in it and how they started explaining that they were Mormon and couldn't drink it and how he thought it was really stupid. It was kind of a had to be there moment, the look on his face was really funny. Then after dinner we started making paper airplanes and trying to throw them up on a banister type thing that was over us, and ended up banning our drummer (Steven) from making paper airplanes. One of his hit our trombonist in the nose and cut it, and about killed this old man. And Steven, just so he won't get in trouble, turns to me and starts mouthing out words like we were having a conversation. So I look up to this kid (I was sitting down and he was standing) that looked like he was having a conversation with the wall, it was pretty freaky. So then, we went to a Jazz Concert (still at BYU) and had a prayer before it started, it was kind of weird. Normally, you don't have a prayer before a concert, but it was cool. The Saxophone player at the beginning was absolutely amazing! He could make those elephant noises on his saxophone!! It was so cool! That's about all that happened there, it was really cool though.
Hope you all have a great week!

Another Post

My parents did decide to come home, dang (just kidding, it's good to have them home). I have to show you all the cowgirl hat they got me that is absolutely amazing! Fred you would love it!!
Emily went to the Valentine's dance last night with a kid who she had been bragging about was the cutest kid alive. It was funny, when I saw him I thought she was crazy or up on drugs. There is no way I would ever think that kid is cute. EEWW!
I am doing ANOTHER fundraiser for Jazz Band tour. Man, I am so sick of those things. I am selling cookie dough and candles if any of you want some. It was crazy, some weird guy came and started telling how to talk to people. It was freaky, he kept going on and on about how we should ask people if they want to help us and not ask them if they want to buy the stuff we are trying to sell, for about an half and hour. Man, that guy would not be quiet.
Well, thats about it. I hope you all have fun!

This Past Week

This week has been pretty good with the having to watch my crazy brothers and Brenda helping. My mom and dad are hopefully coming home tonight, they might have decided Mexico was better and decided to stay.
We still don't have a guitarist in Jazz Band. He said he was going to come to school this week and try and play with us, but he never did. I just hope he can play by this Saturday, the 16th, because the Jazz Band has a BYU festival to play at, and he has a solo in 2 of the songs we are playing. I will be mad if he doesn't go. The funny thing is we have five bass players.... persons and only one of them can go to the festival. Hopefully, we do good at it this year.
Well, that's my week, love ya

AAAAWWWWWWW!!!!!!

I can't believe the Patriots didn't win!! I'm so T.O.ed about that. I almost went up and kicked the television when that happened. Stupid Tom Brady, if he would have done the short passes at the beginning and not had a race with himself to see who can throw the ball the farthest. We probably would have won. I know it wasn't all Tom Brady, the whole team wasn't on top of their game, it looks like. *sigh* I guess they can always kick the Giant's butts next year. haha
Love you all

The Week

This week again nothing really happened again.
My parents decided to ship themselves off to Mexico. Hurray for them, they have eighty degree weather.
It has snowed like fifty bagillion feet already today..... so hopefully we have a snow day tomorrow because Emily refuses to drive to school.
In Jazz Band, we don't have a guitarist for the next month. The one we had decided to go snow boarding and shatter his arm. He is not the brightest kid, if you couldn't tell.
That is pretty much it except for the Super Bowl in an hour, and we all know who is going to win!! Go Patriots!!! So, Brenda took us to Acres with her last night, so I asked Brandon what we needed for the Super Bowl. He looked at me like I was some sort of freak, said nothing, and started explaining to me that we had enough food at our house already. So I ask Josh what he thinks we need and we walk off so he can show me. Man, that kid is crazy. Everything he saw he wanted me to get, he even wanted toilet paper!!!! We ended up walking by the Hostess section and he decided he wanted all of them, so I told him he could choose one. He, of course, chose the one with the most in the box, which was some Ding Dongs. So I bought a box of Ding Dongs for the Super Bowl.
love you all

This Week

Well, Thursday the water went out for most by us, but ours didn't go out until Friday. It was a huge relief and plus we didn't even have school. YAY! Since there was no school Emily and I decided to go to the mall and look around for dresses for the Valentines Dance. Emily was shocked and amazed when we got that there was a lot less people then usual. I had to remind her everyone else was at school. We did find some cute dresses though.
Saturday night, there was a tri-stake dance. It was so much fun. I danced with a lot of guys and ended up falling on the floor. Everyone was running around in a circle and one of my "friends" pushed me (how can he be a real friend if he pushed me jk) and I fell and got a bruise on my knee where I just had one and had gotten all swollen (I fell on the tile jumping down four stairs and landed right on my knee for that to happen). Yes, I know that I'm a clutz.
Hope you all have fun!!

Pictures

Here are some pictures for you all.

Here is a good black-mailing picture of my dad.

Here's some cool music pictures and yes I know that I'm a nerd.

My siblings....
Hope you all liked the pictures.
I sent in an application in to Aspen Ridge (its a boy scout camp in Idaho, for those who didn't know) on Saturday. So I might be working up there this summer.

This Past Week

Well this is pretty much the same as all the other posts I sent out.... nothing really happened this week. Surprise, surprise.
I went to the eye doctor this week as you all know and am getting contacts next Friday. I'm so excited... even though (yes, I know Fred) I have to touch my eye. The weird thing about it though is I only have to get one contact. Its for my right eye because the doctor says not to worry about my left eye because it barely has any prescription in it. That doctor is a weird one.
And that's my week except for the long hours of school everyday with the people who crowd in the middle of the halls and need to learn how to walk, the homework I have, and no school tomorrow.
Well, have a fun week, everyone.

This Week

Um... this week was only a bit more exciting then last week.
The snow was absolutely AMAZING!!!! I loved it, and I hope it snows more.
School was absolutely a drag...... but that wasn't a surprise. I played my saxophone at another Basketball game. It was so much fun.
I went up to a Girl's Camp retreat thingy this weekend. It was so much fun. The snow was at least mid-back height. It was so much fun to play in the snow. Even though all we could pretty much do was go sledding. Though I did decide to break my glasses up there. I had forgotten to have my dad tighten a screw on them, so when I went up it was loose. When I set them down Friday night to go to bed they were fine, but when I woke up Saturday morning and picked them up to put them on one of the lens and screw was missing. We looked everywhere for the lens but couldn't find it. Maybe the Lord thought it was time for me to get a new set of lens. haha...
Hope you all had an amazing week...

This Past Boring and Lame Week

I really didn't do anything this week. We invited a family from our ward over for New Years Eve and partied hard all night until morning. We pretty much played Wii all night and I kicked the oldest kid's butt in baseball too. The score was 5 to 0, it was awesome.
I went to a basketball game this week and the Jazz Band played. It's always a lot of fun to play my saxophone at the basketball games. It's pretty thrilling.
The only other thing I did this week that's good enough to even bother writing down is I went to my aunts church (on my mom's side) instead of mine and saw my cousin get blessed. That was also pretty thrilling to go to, too.
Hope you all have a good week.
